Post by PURE MULE »

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THIS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION.... WHY DID OUR COUNTY BOARD DELAGETES VOTE IN FAVOUR OF THE NEW GAA DISCIPLINARY RULES AT THE RECENT CONGRESS WHEN IN FACT THEY WERE MANDATED BY OUR CLUB MEMBERS TO VOTE IN FAVOUR OF THE OLD RULES.....

I thought they did vote in favour of the old rules, and scrapping the new rules?

We opted against them anyway but I don't know what the rest of the clubs voted for? Did the majority of the clubs vote against the new rules?

They didn't, the voted against.

Our Central Council delegate however was in the postion of being forced to vote FOR the rules, as a member of Central Council. Whether or not that should be the case is debatable, but the county board delegates voted, as directed by the clubs, against the rule change.
