I think some good sports psychology would have helped Rhode. They seemed to panic from even the end of the first half being so far ahead and the man up. A lot of situations i have studied involve the scenario of teams or players in a contest being unexpectedly in a big lead. Mentally they are prepared for a tight battle and do not know how to respond when so far ahead and actually panic.

Perfectly summed up turk.
Its very hard to get a team to know how to handle a big unexpected lead. Ideally players should give all they have for the 60mins and the score board shouldn't matter, but it don't work like that. I remember about 10 years ago we played a match in Killeigh and they were winning by 4 points but their manager kept shouting at them to play like they were 4pts down......it seemed to work that day but I'm sure that tactic would wear a bit thin after a coule of games.
Its odd but Rhode would have been better off going in level at half time and with 15 men aside. Human nature I guss :?
