Me thinks that you have not actually looked back at all my friend. If you did, you would have seen that I have only ever given two horses as tips. The first was Oslot who won the plate at 7/2 or 3/1. The second was an each way tip on Lyceum in the hurdle who ran in to a place at 25/1. Now I never claimed to be an expert but thats not bad going by anyones standards. I have given a few opinions on the GAA and not all of them have come up but that was mainly because I was probably being too greedy going for doubles or trebles. Saying that there was still a few nice bets in there. I still stick by the original tip for Oscar Rebel for anyone that is interested. The ground is coming up perfect for her and with Whiteoak pulling out it makes it less competitive. She will find it hard to beat the favourite but her price is shortening all the while and the each way value might well disappear before the off.

giving tips is to be encouraged - whether they win or not. I'd rather have lads willing to throw out a tip - it may or may not win - it's a gamble!! that's the name of the game.

was only joking by the way lads hence the smiling face after my comment .was looking at the tip bula gave looks decent eacg way chance might have a score on that .

I've no idea what the basis for it is, but there's a savage amount of money going on to Othermix for the Champion Hurdle at huge prices today and yesterday. By far the biggest loser in any betting shop in the North West, so take that how ye will. Likje I said, I've no idea for the basis of it.

John Hayes is 50/1 to be "Man of the match" against Scotland.
There is every chance that with Hayes setting the Irish caps record, that he will put in a big display and most importantly the commentators will paying particular attention to him.
Expect quips like "The record breaker piles forward with the ball", "John Hayes still going strong at 35 years of age".
If that is the vibe of the day and the game is pack dominated, he is in with a shout.

However the good people at PP have decided that the most I'm allowed on this is €1.50. I'd have preferred to take a bit more of a risk than that!

50/1........theres worse bets than that this weekend. LS I hate that when they put such small max bet limits online, however march into Powers shop and nobody will question if you want to have a 10 or 20 Euro bet on it.

i think the man of the match award used by paddy powers us the one picked by BBC commentary, so it could be Jonathan "I hate Ireland" Davies picking or Brian "I hate everyone" Moore - having said that Moore could pick a front row man.

It is the BBC so hopefully it will be Brian Moore and we could really be in for a shout.

I'm well used to my business not being wanted in some of these firms. I wouldn't mind if I was making a killing, but I'm a long way from earning a living off my betting. Still, as was pointed out above, God bless the shops and some anonymity...

That could suit even more. The likes of Tony Ward on RTE don't place much value on pack players.

The BBC lads would be less familiar with Irish players, so I reckon a record setter might just raise a flag with them. Its a long shot granted, but 50/1...66/1 in Boyles where Hayes has a good chance of being one of Ireland's top 5 or 6 performers isn't bad.

In fairness though, if Brian O'Driscoll makes one or two line breaks and a couple of wrap around tackles he'll probably get it.
