What's wrong with the world mama?
People living like aint got no mamas
I think the whole worlds addicted to the drama
Only attracted to the things that bring you trauma
Overseas yeah we tryin to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin
In the USA the big CIA the Bloodz and the Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And if you hatin you're bound to get irate
Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(where is the lovex3)(the love2x)

It just ain't the same all ways have changed
New days are strange is the world the insane?
If love and peace so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations dropping bombs
Chemical gases filling lungs of little ones
With ongoing suffering
As the youth die young
So ask yourself is the loving really strong?
So I can ask myself really what is going wrong
With this world that we living in
People keep on giving in
Makin wrong decisions
Only visions of them livin and
Not respecting each other
Deny thy brother
The wars' going on but the reasons' undercover
The truth is kept secret
Swept under the rug
If you never know truth
Then you never know love
Where's the love y'all?(I don't know)
Where's the truth y'all?(I don't know)
Where's the love y'all?

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father father father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(where is the lovex3)(the lovex2)

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm getting older y'all people get colder
Most of us only care about money makin
Selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting their young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what the see in the cinema
Whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
Instead of spreading love, we're spreading anomosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feeling down
It's no wonder why sometimes I'm feeling under
I gotta keep my faith alive, until love is found

People killing people dying
Children hurtin you hear them crying
Can you practice what you preach
Would you turn the other cheek?
Father Father Father help us
Send some guidance from above
Cause people got me got me questioning
Where is the love?(fade)

So thats our new chant for the Championship. Personally I still feel we are best served with Oooh Fallya, Oooh Fallya! Lot easier to learn off.

We could come up with a version of "The Fields of Athenry", only we could turn it into "the fields of Arden Rd"!
Jayz, this could work lads! Will have to put in some thought on this, go on lads, a verse each!

We're going to be greeted by the following chant in Portlaoise.

"Oh to,
oh to be,
oh to be a...
Lil-lee!"

It would put the fear of God in you!

After a greviously long hiatus,I deem it necessary to add to the abovementioned idear.
The lack of imagination exemplified by our west brit neighbours is quite laughable to be honest, especially when one considers the ''support'' that they claim to have.
Just last night I spotted that hack from the Business Post or Tribune,Ewan McKenna, and I felt like giving him a piece of my mind for that article he wrote about Alan McNamee just before the Leinster capiulation to Crokes not so long back. But,I think he sensed an angry BUFFALO and quickly tuned on his heels and scarpered.
In any case, this notion of composing an Offalian version of 'The Fields of Arden road' is quite appealing and has been stated, could easily be achieved if the will was there to do so.
I'll have a think abouh it and check back in the not too distant future with my contribution.

On to matters more pressing,i.e. the forthcoming match.
Not that up to speed with the footballers as of late, due to a more focused interest in the hurlers, but from what I've read on here there has been a marked improvement since they got hockied by the Dublin 3rd team in the O'Byrne cup.
Obviously major changes have ensued in terms of management, but there will always be that doubt hanging over the players themselves. Are they good enough for a start? Will they be able for the uber-aggressive approach that Kildare are most likely going to adopt? Is there a belief within them collectively that they can do the business?
These are just some of the questions that I would harbour in relation to the team, and the only way I'll get my answers is when I see whats offered up in Mar'borough at the end of the month.
I am of the opinion that the glass is always half full, and so would be relatively hopeful of a victory.
However, there are much more learned folk on here, who's knowledge of the players themselves and the team as a whole, far outweighs any insights that I may have. And,so I cannot speak with any authority, but am qualified to speak with optimism.

Allez Les...

Yea, we're definitely not going to horse Kildare off the park. Hopefully we can bamboozle them a bit and they might be slow out of the blocks, like how poor they were last year in Leinster!

Something tells me Offaly will start slow, let Kildare up 3 or 4 points to begin with, then play well for 15 mins, probably lead by a point or 2, completely die before half time and go in 2 or 3 points down. Repeat performance in the 2nd half....and get bet by 5 or 6 points!!!

Then we'll have the 3 hour traffic jam after the match tryin to get out of Portlaoise!!!!
