Is there anyone willing to offer a lift from ferbane to the match!? i'm kind of stuck for a lift!!
If you can, call me
And also, I'll be on my own, the person that was due to come can't make it.

A good win for the Faithful in the inter website challenge.
On duty for Offaly were household names like:
Arbarg and Buffalo (?) and some more lads from the Allez Les Faithful crew who I didn't catch the names of.
Full Back

Lone Shark
My knee hurts
Stupid like a fox
Rynagh's Biffo
The Man from Ferbane
Another man from Ferbane
The final score was estimated to be 3-13 to 1-6.
Many thanks to the Shannonbridge club for lending us their pitch and dressing rooms.

Ok wind up over, the Rossies all (independently?) reached for the chicken switch and not one of them showed up.
So we had good crew of Offaly lads who made the effort to show, but unfortunately it wasn't reciprocated.
I notice they're all all a bit "sheepish" about mentoning it on their own discussion board.

Haven't posted on this topic since, since in fairness I do feel fairly bad about it. More than that, I'm feckin livid with the Rossies. On thursday night they had "ten confirmed", and yet not one shows up? On monday morning a guy is able to post (jmrtw) saying it was abandoned, despite the fact that he can't have known that without talking to one of us, unless a call-it-off message was circulated among them, which I can only assume happened. In that case I'm furious that none of them took the time out to tell me.
And now they're talking about refixing it. I'll need a lot more from them before that'll happen again.
The pity of it all was that it had the makings of being so good. We had a mixed line up of hugely varying abilities which was the aim, the weather on the day was perfect, the pitch was immaculate, and Shannonbridge had even been so decent as to leave the chest of footballs unlocked for us to use. (Once again, I can't say enough good things about how helpful they were)
So I can just say my sincere thanks and apologies to those that showed, and that I'd love nothing more than to do it again - however I'm not sure if that would work out, what with no other county close to us having a thriving discussion board that might field. Tipperary would be the only option, though chances are they'd want to take us on with sticks, which could restrict our chances of (a) fielding and (b) surviving. However hope springs eternal, so you never know .....
Allez les Faithful!!

Fair play to all that turned up, who'd i'd imagine shall turn up again.
A game of hurling may be potentially dangerous but it would be good craic! another worry is would be have the hurling numbers or even number of hurls!? since there is a majority of football followers on this site.
Would The Premier be up for a football match i wonder??
