Brilliant win well done to all offaly street's ahead of Antrim in all line's of the field yesterday it's been a while since we had a big winning margin over a rival. 3 year's ago the like's of Antrim, Laois , Westmeath, Carlow, Kerry, were ahead of us now offaly have overtook them and are on the up please god. i think we at least stay up anyway which is good as the division will have wexford or clare it it next year which will be strong enough. as for the Dub's and Waterford i'd say they will fear us more than we will fear them bring on the Dub's .

Waterford might because of their injury situation. Dublin in croke park, they'll will have zero fear and would be very disappointed to be losing to the likes of offaly. All Ireland club champions, whose players haven't played yet in the league and 2 wins from 2. They are motoring along nicely and have all the momentum at the moment.

But it’ll be our luck that the Na Fianna boys will be back for our game and Waterford will have a few back as well.

what do you mean the like's of offaly yes offaly have been down over the last few year's but we are moving in the right way i watch Dublin in last year's leinster final and offaly who won the mcdonagh cup before would have beaten them. Dublin have won leinster title's underage down the year's but never won an all ireland title. i think the talent that's in offaly now we will be well able to compete with Dublin in the coming year's .

It’s very early in the year but it’s great to see the progression of this team, 3 of that team will line out for DCU tomorrow evening in the fitzgibbon cup, Sam bourke, Donal Shirley and Colin Spain. The managing of game time for these will be crucial as an injury now would set that player back like with Dan Ravenhill last year.

As mentioned beating the Laois, Carlow, Antrim and westmeaths is the first step and we seem to be going in the right direction. As mentioned by god are we going to have some squad providing all are fit. Well done to all involved.

Offaly who barely bet laois in the mcdonagh final would have bet Dublin who were in the senior final? Dublin bet Galway in Galway. In the final they were very poor but you can't compare. The reason I said the likes of offaly was, from a Dublin perspective it would be viewed as a major set back to lose. They would be hoping at a minimum to contest a leinster final in 2025. Offaly are hoping not to be relegated. That's not saying Offaly won't put it up to them and I would view it as a major up set if offaly were to win vs Dublin in croke park.

look at it this way kilkenny who hammer Dublin couldn't beat Carlow last year so it's all on the day, plus a good few of these offaly players have beaten Dublin the last few years in under 20 and last year's leinster final. it's not as if we were going up again limerick or Cork next i give offaly every chance to beat Dublin and wouldn't be shocked if we won.

Not totally accurate on Dublin Underage== Have not won All Ireland title in recent years ===== Not since Minor in , was it 1963 or 64 ?

Multiple things can be true. It is true that this Offaly group are making good progress, that they look to have overtaken the rest of the "mezzanine" layer of intercounty hurling such as Laois, Antrim, Westmeath etc., and are knocking on the door of the top tier alongside Carlow.

It is also true that there is a big gap to bridge between where Offaly and Carlow are at, and where the weakest of the big boys are - which right now, is probably Wexford and Waterford. I would certainly say that Dublin are not quite as vulnerable as those, and of all the big games we might target this year against the established Liam MacCarthy sides, I would say that the last round of the league in Dungarvan and the Leinster championship trip to Wexford Park are the two more obvious ones where I would be quietly hopeful of being right there in the mix with ten minutes to play.

That's not being at all dismissive of Saturday week in Croke Park, which I am really looking forward to now - but Dublin are a solid, mature group that I think are right there in terms of Leinster championship contenders this year. If Offaly hold their own there and produce a respectable performance, I'll walk out of the Hogan Stand every bit as happy.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Very good game tonight in the Fitzgibbon Cup semi final DCU vs UCC. Donal Shirley and Sam Bourke combined brilliantly for the decisive goal for DCU, Shirley finishing it with a bullet after a strong run from midfield. Sam Bourke was my man of the match.
Colin Spain worked like a dog in midfield.
Big contribution from the Offaly lads as Dóchas Éireann ran out 4 point winners.

Subs:

must be the first time in year's that it will be hard to pick the first 15 for championship it depends if everyone is fit i suppose. after the last two game's it would be hard to leave out Dan Ravenhill 0-4 points again laois and 1-2 last sunday he missed alot of hurling last year but you can see him coming on every game he play's plus his a big man also which helps .

it's some bench all the same bring it on.

Good team. I would probably swap Ross Rivenhall for Sam bourke. Thought Ross hurled a lot of ball last Sunday

I think that team on paper looks alot stronger than what we have had in recent years.
Still room for improvement when we set up against stronger teams we will really know where some of these lads are at.
