There is absolutely no team selection dilemma for Johnny Kelly.

Agreed! Main focus has to be on ensuring the team is as well rested as possible for next Wednesday evening. With all due respect, we should be capable of getting by Kerry (not without been asked some serious questions) without our u20 contingent.
Cathal Nolan - Signed out of respect.

The u20s will play this weekend. I'd be amazed if they didn't.

There shouldn’t be but I’d imagine Kelly will want to play them as his job is gone if they lose.

Which if comes to pass shows Johnny Kelly is more concerned about his own managerial career than the development of Offaly hurling.

All U20’s on the bench for me. 500 people go to watch the offaly seniors. 10,000 go to watch the U20’s

I think a few of you have misunderstood my post.
I mean that Johnny Kelly has no dilemma, he plays his best 15 no matter who they are.
‘500 go to watch the seniors and 10,000 to watch the u20’s’, isn’t that exactly the problem?

We need a big crowd in Tullamore on Sunday to help them over Kerry and into a Joe McD final.

Fully agree and I assume most are the same, it’s a lose-lose for Kelly I suppose.

Play them and one gets injured or doesn’t perform next Wednesday and he’s the fall guy.

Don’t play them and lose to Kerry and he’s out of a job.

Is this a joke or sarcasm?? I'm so confused? Are you saying winning an u20 match against Dublin next week is more important for the development of Offaly hurling than gettin up to leinster next year?? Are you saying these lads will develop more by beating Dublin next week than they will playing in senior leinster next year? You think offaly hurling and its players will benefit more from 1 extra under 20 game this year than 5 top tier senior games next year??

Johnny Kelly will not be the fall guy either way, offaly need to play leinster hurling next year a lot more than offaly need to win another leinster u20 championship. Offaly hurling will develop and a lot more with 5 big games in leinster senior next year than it will from one more u20 game this year. I know Johnny Kelly will play them and if he doesn't he has to be relieved of his duties.. I expect u20 manager will be relieved of his duties regardless of what happens after his litte stunt keeping all the seniors on full game against laois.. he clearly has eyes only for his own managerial career and shows little interest in the development of the senior team.

What utter scutter, thanks to be Lord above you don't get a say in the matter , who on earth would give him the boot after all he's given

There's will o callaghan a renowned sport's journalist in offaly and futher afield he's saying Lee o Connor is an honorary offaly man and you come out with giving him the boot for playing his under 20 players in a full game they didn't even reach next or near the level of tonight

You weren't exactly giving offaly much hope not long ago because galway beat dublin by a cricket score but offaly were lucky not to be bet aswel because of the poor conditions vs galway

One of Offaly's best wins in recent years and still some people are more interested in trying to further their own petty agendas.
Let's talk about the great U20 team we have. The Joe McDonagh Cup can be discussed a different day.

Ludicrous comments above, Leo has done more for the development of Offaly hurling over the last few years than anyone has in a very very long time. The poster clearly has an agenda and the moderators should do their jobs.
