Croghan 1-15 St Rynaghs 0-6
Handy win for Croghan who may be dark horses for the Dowling.

Erin rovers 0-08 Gracefield 0-06
Close game which was level at fulltime - Pullough managed to kick two scores in injury time to clinch a quarterfinal berth.

Ballycumber 1-11 Ferbane 1-09
Ferbane are out and Bally are through to the knockouts - An early goal from colm Quinn proved decisive. Quinn was sent off with 10 minutes to go.

Other results I'm not 100% on but Drumcullen beat Ballyskenach, and Tullamore beat Edenderry.[/b]

Two yellows - the first yellow was a punch off the ball on david Lowry (although some said there was a small bit of provocation beforehand) in front of the ref.

The second yellow didnt look a whole lot to be fair to Quinn - slight bit of dissent maybe.

Very impressive win by Erin Rovers. It was a must win game for Gracefield but Rovers were very impressive.

Rovers were the most impressive of the 6 teams in Tullamore and Shannonbridge this weekend. Moving the ball quickly and big down the middle. Have shown ability to play lovely open football, transferring the ball quickly in a forward direction (to create and take 4 goal chances against Doon) and to battle out a dour but fascinating encounter with Gracefield.
