Why this year do we not have the normal opening game before the county final?
Surely the junior final would have been an ideal opener at 1:30pm and senior then at 3:30pm?
Feels a bit bare with just the one game.
Probably based on the weather. Two matches on the same pitch would not be great. Tullamore did well to host the senior b and the semi final. Not too many pitches could do that. Best to just have one game and have a good surface fir it.

I'd say the pitch will be alright. There's astro in the goals, so they won't be an issue.

Because the pitch isn’t as good as it’s made out to be. Wouldn’t handle 2 games

Ah, water and muck and shyte in the goals would be worse.

Nothing worse than astro in the goals

A Senior goalkeeper worth their salt won't be allowing a ball bounce in the square, whether tarmac, astro, grass or turfmould.

At least the ball won’t bounce into the net off shite

Don’t get me started on Astroturf in the goals
Agree with the point that keeping it to one game is probably sensible given the recent weather. Looking forward to a pulsating game and a great atmosphere. I’ve been back and forth all day with a winner and alas, nothing.
I’m parking my behind on the fence this time.
KK 1-16 to Shinrone 0-19. And they’ll go at it agin.
