Donal 'O'Neill - RIP
Very sad news about former Offaly star passing away in recent days..a fine keeper for Offaly in barren times at senior level...of course U21 win in 1988 stands out and that great journey with 4 games V Wexford in Leinster final that year..he played Minor, U21 and senior for Offaly in 1985...I remember him making his senior debut as Martin Furlong was out injured for 1st round Leinster June clash with Louth, Offaly winning 3-15 to 1-08..not a bad debut for a teenager...Furlong was back for next day semi final defeat to Dublin..anyway may he Rest in Peace.

A brilliant goalkeeper, with a massive kick out. Very interesting path he took with his studies and the role he played as a professor in Maynooth University.
Another stand out moment was when he came back in 1995 to play in goals for Edenderry in the county final victory.
Rest in Peace Donal.
