Joe Mac final is on the 27th/28th May - off the top of my head, I haven't looked up a calendar.
The Joe Mac final now decoupled from the Leinster final. It's now scheduled on the same bill as the U20 All-Ireland hurling final.

I'm not sure when the final of the Joe Mc is on. Cant find it in the fixtures and assumed it was before the Leinster final but if thats the case then there is a 4 week delay from round 5 to the final so that can't be right. Final must be on the 28th of May so and has been decoupled from the Leinster final.
Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

No talk about this game at all here, surprising as it's "semi final" for Offaly as a win will take them to the final.

Best of luck lads and do us proud. Unbeaten all year so far in league and championship is fair going.

Kerry will be no pushovers and recent games suggest a very tight game ahead.

More or less the same team thats been played all year with P Clancy and Screeney not making the 26 - assuming it's injury related as both had been doing well. Cathal Kiely has omitted himself from the panel for the remainder of the year which is a pity as he had been coming off the bench lately and chipping in with a score or two.

Cathal Kiely has got a couple of scores, but he has also been very wasteful, was very poor against Kildare and should have been sent off.
Perhaps best for all parties that he steps away for the remainder of the year with his impending court case.

It's a pity because he's a massive player but unfortunately maybe he wasn't getting as much time as he would have liked and everything in-between he decided to step down,

Looking foward to the game going to be tough to get past kerry again but no better team to do it as for injuries its great to see lads who step in are just as confident hurlers as those who are out

And hopefully the injuries aren't too serious

Offaly must be doing something right, Kerry knowing they couldn't out hurl them brought the extra physical stuff to the table today and guess what? That didn't work either and resulted in an 11 point defeat. Very comfortable win today albeit against limited opposition.
What management will do next week below in Carlow is the million dollar question now!
Well done lads things are ticking along very nicely.

Well done lads.
Couldn't make the game only listened on the aul radio.

As the poster above said it seemed that Kerry decided to be very physical today and a lot of off the ball stuff but didn't work. We let our hurling do the talking.

Another day out in Croker for Offaly fans this year which is great.

I would personally prefer to play Carlow rather than Laois in the final, but I don't think the players would mind at all as the are on a brilliant winning streak.

Do we give lads a run out the next day or play full strength to try and keep up momentum and the winning formula ? :?:

Good win in the end but got it hard to pull away for a good while. But were always going to win it. Kerry very physical- no.10 was at Eoghan Cahill the whole game but Cahill answered him on the scoreboard.

Kiely took some hit. I’d like to see a replay as possibly a fair shoulder albeit the Kerry man for a yellow. But maybe I’m wrong. The helmet came flying off with the impact so maybe it wasn’t as fair as I thought.

Tough call for Offaly next week but realistically they have to rest players and give the wider panel game time. It might play into our hands doing that as no doubting we would rather play Carlow than Laois in the final. I don’t think many could argue against resting players given the schedule we have had over the last two months.

Decent crowd In Tullamore too which was good to see.

A full selection of the extended panel would be prudent in my eyes for this game.

Injuries permitting starts for Cathal O’Meara, Eimhin Kelly, the 2 Langtons, Conor Hardiman, Shane Dooley, Eamon Cleary, Eoghan Parlon, Joe Hoctor, Sam Bourke and Jack Screeney among others.

The referee was atrocious once again , in 2 phases of play offaly were penalised unjustified for "charging" kerry did the exact same thing right after the puck out from that free and nothing was given

Kiely had a target on his head as soon as he approached the 21 on that solo , that was in no way a fair tackle he intentionally went to do him he squared him up and buried him with a high shoulder

Micheal Verney has a replay on twitter of it and what's more sickening he got a yellow for it but should have been off he did the same to cahill just before that and got nothing.

Eimhin Kelly played well when he came on, great to see Shane dooley get some more time aswell and held of 2 men to set up a score but it went wide.

Was starting to look like a potential banana skin early on thankfully it didn't stay that way for very long and kerry were more interested in starting rows than the hurling

We have made a marked improvement giving that we dispatched of Kerry by 11 having only played in fits and starts. Fantastic progress by the team but only one step in the process.

Im normally not one to slate referees but I thought today's officiating performance was up there with the worst I've seen. Didn't let the game flow at all, made some woeful calls and sideline officials did nothing about flagging the off the ball stuff. Hopefully Kiely isn't too bad after that heavy hit .

Personally I would rest at least 6 or 7 of our key players next weekend. Carlow will bring a similar abrasive style to things and have to leave it all out there. Would like to see Eimhin Kelly, Keenaghan, Murphy, Dooley and one or two others get game time and championship pace next weekend. A win with a changed team will infuse the team with confidence. If carlow come out on top they will have played their hand and we can plan accordingly tow weeks after in Croker
