I cannot see us being blessed with the result or the score of the 1997 Leinster Final somehow!...

In contrast to the hurling, I feel Offaly could exceed expectations here. Just for the hell of it, I'll say Meath to win, but only after extra time. Offaly 2-15 Meath 1-18 at FT, with Meath 2-22 Offaly 2-17 the AET score as our lack of depth becomes an issue.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

very possible, we might get a moral victory maybe alright....I doubt it..hope I am wrong, as I say, just cannot see us scoring freely enough to win...

Offaly to score the equivalent of 0-21 in 70 minutes??? VERY doubtful.

100% should have won great performance. Two missed goal chances where we should have taken at least one and Meath goal was extremely sloppy. We were fit and worked our socks off while playing a nice brand of football using the wings to attack Meath. I thought Meath were shocking defensive with 13 players behind the ball at times. This is a game that we let slip, it took Meath 19 mins to score in 2nd half where we rattled off 7 points in a row in the 2nd half. Delighted we the effort and attitude from players, we have plenty of time to bounce back and hopefully get few wins going forward

credit where it is due, all will know of how skeptical I was of us putting in a decent shift and getting sufficient scores to win, I could not attend yesterday and while we still lost, by all accounts it was a great performance and we could and probably should have won the game..its a great bounce going into the qualifiers, and if we could get an easy game (or 2!!) in the qualifiers it would do this team a mountain of good confidence wise, decent spread of scores yesterday, one or two forwards didn't score and that was probably the difference in the end..the goal was sloppy by all accounts, if you come for the ball, you have to get it, man and anything else that's there..hopefully we can string a few qualifers together and take it from there...
