There doesn't seem to be many matches played recently in the Junior championship.

Does anyone know what stage this is at, who is going well and when next matches will be?

Quarter-final fixtures:
Tullamore v Gracefield in Killeigh at 3pm on Saturday 8th
Belmont v Kinnitty in Kilcormac an noon on Sunday 9th.
(Kilcormac-Killoughey and Shinrone topped their respective groups and are through to the semi-finals.

And the Junior B Final between Belmont and Coolderry is in Bord na Móna Park on Saturday 8th at 5pm.

Is this the first year Belmont have entered a third team? Like, I know they've got Ferbane and all that, but that's still impressive.

Not much being said about this weekends junior final, could be a right good battle between Tullamore and Shinrone’s second teams - who are people leaning toward? Tullamore looked sharp against Kilcormac Killoughy in their semi final.

Ah, Shinrone are specialists at this grade now. Their Senior team has seen alot of young talent introduced over the last few years, and those who they replaced have regraded to Junior. Michael Cordial seems to be leading the way from midfield, while Colin O'Meara (full-back), Shane McKelvey (centre half-back), and forwards Barry McNamara, Eddie Bevans and Declan and Niall Cleary all must have hurled Senior for at least five years each. Shinrone will win it, and in two years time they'll be regraded to Junior yet again, and they'll win it again in three year's time.

I would concur with POTH here Shinrone seem to love this grade, ever since the two epic games in 2002 or 2003 when they beat Edenderry they have bossed this grade . I’m actually surprised to see Tullamore in the final as they normally fall away as the year progresses, I’d like to see Tullamore win

I would have Tullamore as favourites based on semi final results. Tullamore also have 4 players who have won a Senior Final where as the Shinrone players with senior experience are likely to be playing in their first final.

Tullamore are likely to be missing their centre forward from the last day (Daniel Kelly) as he’s nursing an injury picked up in training, having said that, I’d still give them a chance as they have a lot of good young hurlers who will be hugely disappointed not to have got a run for the Senior B team during the year (Cody Hensey, Dylan Hensey, Eric Conway) - you can never rule out Tullamore on county final day, although Shinrone will be a huge test for them. This one should go down to the wire.
