Offaly … have 8 or 9 lads either new or back on the panel.Exiled in Connacht wrote:Offaly ... beatableLooseCannon wrote:Antrim … beatable.
Don’t be such a pessimist.
Good Luck

It's a good draw. Someone like Tyrone, Mayo or even Armagh, and it was curtains.
Antrim at home is winnable, but it's still going to be a challenge, so they have to be focused for it, otherwise they will lose. I think that's exactly what you need at this point.

Yes a game definitely capable of winning. Certainly should be at home.
Time for the players to get the finger out and perform. No more excuses. Just go out and give it bloody everything.

Round 1 on the road to the Super8s...
great chance, both teams will fancy their chances!
Round 2 v Leitrim. Our attacking play in full flight now and we march on.
Round 3 v Cavan. Revenge for last year. Team is well up for it and after a massive second half of throwing off the shackles we win by 5pts.
Round 4 v Laois. Laois come to Tullamore 6days after a 300pt defeat against the Dubs in the Leinster final, reports claim a certain player head butted the Laois manager after the game for taken him off with 2min to go. A packed OCP witness Offaly turn on the style with Pat Spillane calling it “sexy football” as Offaly claim a spot in the Super8s. Tomas O’Se reckons Offaly are only team capable of beating the Dubs!!

Definite opportunity to secure what would be a morale boosting win for the footballers in the Qualifiers.
Also a chance for Offaly supporters to get behind the team and management who I've no doubt will prepare the team in the correct fashion.
I'm looking forward to it.

There has to be a positive reaction.
A home game, against a team of similar ranking, players back in the fold, a point to be proven.
If we sleepwalk through this game there are more serious problems than anyone could have imagined .

I know that we’ve yet to play a competitive game under Rouse. But I’ve a good feeling that we could be on a bit of a run.
Question: if the results are good let’s say we get to round 3 and are beaten by a Monaghan or Mayo, would you give him the job for two or three years?
