Has there ever been a breakdown of what this money was spent on last year? Or how this money will be spent this year.
if I was a club delegate it would certainly be a question I would be asking at the next county board meeting.
Maybe the "journalist" members of the forum could investigate this.............................................

Why not become a club delegate, and then you can ask that question? I won't hold my breath.Offalys Future wrote:Has there ever been a breakdown of what this money was spent on last year? Or how this money will be spent this year.

why wouldn't the club delegates just ask the question.
they have a responsibility to their clubs and the people they represent to ask these questions.
It's also about the county board showing a little transparency.

As searing drive said become a club delegate and ask the question urself. Or alternatively contact you're club delegate and get him to ask those questions. What good is coming on here posing questions when these questions need to be posed to the county board.

Re: €45,000 Development Fund
there are lads here on this forum involved in local media and county board no doubt.
I have been looking on for the past week and to see the pure shite that some of them have been writing about the O'Connor park/ birr debate.
it would be more in their line to go and ask some serious questions as to what 45,000 euro that was allocated to the development of Offaly hurling last year was used for? And how will it be used for the coming year also?

Re: €45,000 Development Fund
I was at the nursery coaching course in Banagher on Sat morning last which was given by the excellent Damien Young from Tipp and some of the ideas and points he put across were very was a real eye opener. Not sure where all the money is going but the equipment that he was using to develop our U6s and up is available to all clubs at a heavily discounted price and some items are FOC all the clubs have to do is look for it. It was a well attended course (although more probably would have been there if it had been hosted in Birr ) and I think the one in Tullamore was also well attended.
We have been asked to go back to our clubs and try his ideas and there is further courses in 3 or 4 weeks time.
