Maths!!what we need to survive on sunday

Post by far from croghan hill »

just wondering about the trip to enniskillen, what is the story regarding how we can stay up.if monaghan and cork draw would that mean we survive in division 1?cant remember going to enniskillen in a long long time, the last time we played fermanagh was in tullamore in feb 97,it was very tight game and the win ensured offaly would top the group as fermanagh had been favourites after winning the all ireland 'b' the year before. they seem to have a good record in brewster park, perhaps some one else knows when we last played there. an interesting trivia question is- while playing inter county football for offaly matt connor played against 31 counties in ireland..fermanagh being the only county he never played against
THERE IT GOES HIGH IN THE ARMS OF WILLE BRYANS!!

With the table as it stands at the moment below

The best chance of survival we have is if Cork and Monagjan draw and we beat Fermanagh by 6 points
The only other way would be for Monaghan to beat Cork by 1 point and we beat Fermanagh by 15 points :)

Team Played Won Drawn Lost Pts Diff Total Pts.
Cork 6 2 0 4 -14 4
Monaghan 6 1 1 4 -6 3
Offaly 6 1 1 4 -19 3
