MFC Semi Final - Tullamore 0-12 Rhode 1-6
Unfortunately seeing as it was on at the same time as the other semi, and I'm not blessed with the gift of bilocation, I wasn't at this one - anyone like to fill us in on what happened? Hyper? As such Ger?
As you know I wouldn't be the greatest of reporters, English writing not one of my strong points.
Tullamore started off the best but had about 4 early wides. Rhode then went into an early lead. They finished the last quarter on top and went in at the break 1 point ahead at 5-4.
The second half saw Tullamore begin to assert at midfield and gradually wore down Rhode. Young Martin gave young Darby a fair time of it at half forward.
Though you'd say Tullamore were the better team on the day Rhode had a couple of late chances to sneak a draw.
Tullamore were a much improved side from that playedwhen these two sides played previously in the championship. A very big physical side for minors.
