Excellent stuff today by the school.Plenty of good football on show...Game flowed well and both sides had chances to win it but St Marys seemed to have that little bit more hunger...A fine point at the end to win it...St Marys played against the wind in the first half and were unlucky to go in at half time 3 points down.Colaiste Eoin got a very fortuitous goal just before half time.A free was kicked in and landed on the small square, the ball broke loose and was buried to the back of the net...Marys recovered well after the break and were 3 points up with about 5 mins to go but in fairness to Eoins they pegged them back and were level just at the end of normal time but young McNamee kicked a savage point to win it.....well done to all involved and hopefully they can carry on and eventually get that All Ireland

Well done to the lads! This is a great achievement for the school and surrounding areas.2 Leinsters in 3 years has set the school up for the future and will really help football to gain a foothold around the town hopefully. What way is the team split out Offaly/Kildare?

Between Ferbane and Edenderry, the minor and U21's hopefully things are moving in the right direction.

Jarlaths will be a tough proposition in the Semi, that match should probably be in Athlone?

Just to add to the congratulations for my old school, St Mary's Of Edenderry on the great win on Saturday.

The progress this school has made in the last 5/6 years has been nothing short of incredible and has been the result of lot of hard work by the players involved and the mentors that are over them. To go from winning the 'B' colleges All Ireland in 2007, to winning the 'A' Leinster Colleges in 2009 (and been in hard luck for the All Ireland in that year) to winning the 'A' Leinster Colleges again on Saturday has been remarkable.

I firmly believe this competition is on a par with (if not a touch higher) a lot of Inter County Minor Championship matches that will be seen around the country this year, and provides a valuable proving ground for all of the players involved, regardless of club.

Well done to all involved.

Edenderry now play Jarlaths on Saturday, at 2pm in Longford. Very annoying with Gallen playing 20 mins down the road but what can you do. Hopefully they'll both be in Croke Park together.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Strange that they could not have seen fit to have both games (Gallen & Edenderry) in Longford, would have been a great occasion and these games are hugely entertaining. I think they are both on at the same time.
Best of luck to both teams.
I see the replay of the All Ireland club is fixed for Cavan at 5pm Sat week. Might be worth a spin up, draw was a cracking game of football. Lot of people think Garrycastle have blown it and history would favour Cross in these situations, but Garrycastle have been in 3 really sticky situations so far, so could be interesting yet!
