Yes True red i was thinking they met Dublin in the semi and were well beaten but was this not through the back door.

Im trying to think back and was of the opinion that they were beaten by Meath in the opening game and then went through the back door beating Longford. Could be wrong but somebody might know for sure.

Agree that 11/10 is a great price for this game. Pile on!

Any news on the starting 15 for tonight, looks like it will be a good night for football which should suit Offaly, best of luck to Pascal and the lads.

Looks a strong team just interesting to see what way they will really line out cant see tom spain stayin in the corner !!! will probably come out back around the middle or even half forward line with Hogan dropping back closer to midfeild/halfback line.

Meath team named

1. Conor McHugh, Oldcastle
2. Ciaran McConnell, Bective
3. Brian Dillon, O’Mahony’s
4. Johnny Quigley, Kilmainham
5. Patrick Fox, Skryne
6. Ciaran Lenehan, Skryne
7. Daragh Maguire, O’Mahony’s
8. Bryan Menton, Donaghmore/Ashbourne
9. Sean Tobin, Simonstown Gaels
10. David Larkin, Summerhill
11. Mark O’Sullivan, Moynalvey
12. Damien Carroll, Ballinabrackey (C)
13. Shane Gillespie, O'Mahony's
14. Niall Murphy, Dunshaughlin
15. Padraig McKeever, Simonstown Gaels

Drawn from twelve clubs, as opposed to our seven.

I'll put it this way - Rhode must be the greatest nailed on certainties ever to win the county under 21 championship at this rate - by the logic of this team, they'd be a match for the pick of everyone else.

Aye, was just thinking that about the parking! I hear they are running a few DART shuttles from Cloneygowan for the evening!
May have to head on over a little earlier. Should be a good turnout for this game alright. Would be an awkward spin for the Meath crowd, fair bit of cross country involved!

Huge win tonight in Gracefield.
1-09 to 09, having been level at half time 5pts each. Offaly were reduced to 14 men about 5 mins before half time when Paul McPadden was sent off for an off the ball offence.
A very impressive 15 mins after half time saw Offaly move 5 clear after a well taken Mark Young goal, and despite missing afew chances, Offaly held on fairly comfortably to win by 3pts.
It was a terrific second half performance, and hard to single out anyone. Both teams were very fit but Offaly in general were generally better and more comfortable on the ball. Guilfoyle carried the ball well in general, Anton found the going tough but was targetted for a lot of heavy tackles from the Meath backs. Bernard Allen kicked a couple of good points. But overall our backs were brilliant, tried to play from the front and were disciplined in the tackle.

Play Kildare next week, should be in gracefield but I would say it will be moved to Portlaoise, not a hope of the crowd fitting into gracefield.

yes good win i had to walk a mile to get in, Ahlethimoutwithit cover most of it. i though Eoin Rigney fullback was great
Mark Young change the game when he came on got 1-2, i thought they played better football after Mcpadden was sent off
as they went route one with it Mick Brazil had a good second half.

can't see the kildare game been played in gracefield but there was still alot of room left in the field
i hope it is there as i wouldn't like to lose a home tie but they did say if offaly beat Meath gracefield would be the view
for the kildare game so you never know.

i think they done a good job tonight and it was well run i wasn't long getting home to Comer. well done to offaly and Pascal tonight.
