New Zealand Hurling, well Auckland anyway

Post by harrymeister »

Lads, Wondering if anyone out there in Uibh Fhaili knows any of the players touring with the banks, AIB and B of I to New Zealand and Australia this month.
We're here in Auckland training away for the games, we're playing both of them, but would like to know what we're up against. If anyone knows any players tranelling over, just drop me a line and share the news.
Also, there's a crew of us trying to develop the game properly over here (including two of Birr's sons, and one of Tullamore's), and so far we've made a great start.
Last January we joined with the Cork lads to play an exhibition game when they came over on their holiday (New Zealand is the iseal spot for an end of year holiday by the way), and have played a few decent matches since. The banks' visit is the next big event on the radar for us.
We have set up and are developing a web-site http://www.aucklandgaa.co.nz so if you are interested, log on and have a look. If any of you are coming over, make sure you get in touch.
We will be organising regular matches through the Summer (just starting down here) and going for pucks as often as we can.
Tog bog e
Harry
