A good looking team on paper no doubt maybe a small bit light but everyone of them has plenty of ability. If paddy kirwin is over them its a total disaster he"d only ruin a good young hurler not bring him on. Wait and see he"ll more than likely get the job.

Correct me if i am wrong, but was Kirwan not manager of our minor team the last time we won a Leinster?

I have never been in a dressing room or on a training field with the man but he must have done something right that year.

Brian Cowen will be a loose end as by all accounts he won't be running for election.

If he was U21 manager and the team comes in at half time losing by 38 points, his half time speech would go something like...

"Well we are where we are lads"
"I don't see the point in looking back"
"There is little to be achieved in the blame game"
"The reality is no one could have foreseen this collapse"
"I strongly believe we will turn this match around"
"Going forward we have already turned the corner"

"and there are teams all over the world losing also, some may not be down by 32 points, but they are in a very similar situation to us"
"We have a van load of lads from brussels arriving for the second half, hopefully they can turn the match around, if not, we will offer a walk over with 2 minutes left in the game"

Or more likely..

"No, there is definitely no lads coming in from Brussels. I reject that entirely"

Whispers to the goalie
"Could you aim the puckouts at Helmut Van Rental. He'll be starting the 2nd half. He's 6 foot 8, you'll know which one he is"

Out loud again
"There has been no discussion at all with Brussels. There is no question of us entering into any talks with them."
