That would be Brian of Raheen - not sure if he spells it Kehoe or Keogh, but it would be him anyway.

Kehoe. Originally from O'Dempsey's club in Laois.
His cousin Robbie was corner back for Laois yesterday.

Jaysus, you really would wonder where they get some of these lads. I'd consider myself up to date with all senior, intermediate and junior teams in the county and who the better players are on these teams yet they still manage to put lads on the team that no-one seems to have heard of. I know people will disagree with me on this point but based on last years championships I would only put lads from Rhode, Clara or Tullamore on the panel along with a few more, obviously. They were the only 3 who played or prepared like other top clubs in Leinster would. I know its easy to say this now but I know for a fact that if you asked me who the first 3 to be substituted off that team yesterday would be I would have said the Laois lad, Mulhall and Crampton. I mean if I can know that and I know many others would too why can't Cribben and his management team?

I have to stay, I still have serious doubts about that fella. And I don't care if it's the O'Byrne Cup or whatever. Johhny Moloney really came into his own in the full-back position for Tullamore last year, roasting Alan Mulhall and competing well with Tommy Deehan. A lad who has represented Offaly well also at under-age, does he not deserve a game ahead of Kehoe?

I only saw Brian Kehoe twice last year and he looked solid enough. Obviously he wouldn't have got tested enough at intermediate level to really tell so it makes good sense to give him a go - God knows it's not like we have solid full back line players coming out of all orifices.

By the way Johnny Moloney will probably be a key part ofthis squad, but if I'm not mistaken he's with one of the colleges - UCD maybe? I don't think he's available now anyway.

I believe Johnny Moloney is available- Moloney has been told by Cribben that he will not be used so Moloney has returned to train with the u-21 panel

Moloney has been on the bench for the past 2 games and hasn't got a run.

Dublin team named for tomorrow night...

Connolly gets the nod to face Offaly
21 Jan 2011

FAST FORWARD: Diarmuid Connolly 'steps on the gas' to round Kilmacud Crokes' Rory O'Carroll.

Diarmuid Connolly comes into the Dublin football team for Saturday night’s O’Byrne Shield semi-final against Offaly in Parnell Park (7.0).
The St Vincent’s man comes into the half-forward line, taking over from his club-mate Pádraig Lee who lined out there in last weekend’s facile victory over Wexford (6-10 to 1-8).
Connolly lined out with DIT in the O’Byrne Cup but is eligible as the Cup and Shield are considered separate competitions. Likewise Paddy Andrews, who played for DCU in the O’Byrne Cup, is named among the Dublin subs.
Connolly has been in good early season form for DIT, leading their scoring in their victory over Wexford and loss to Westmeath in the O’Byrne Cup. In 2010 he was named on both the Evening Herald/Dublin Bus Dubs Stars football and hurling teams.
The Dubs bench also includes Paul Flynn who has been sidelined with injury until now.

DUBLIN (SF v Offaly): Stephen Cluxton; Darren Daly, Seán Murray, Alan Hubbard; Declan Lally, Paul Casey, Conor McKiernan; Denis Bastick, Colm Murphy; Diarmuid Connolly, Kevin Bonner, Dean Kelly; Kevin McManamon, Graham Cullen, Tomás Quinn. Subs: Ryan O’Flaherty, Ger Brennan, Willie Lowry, Barry Cahill, Bryan Cullen, Paul Flynn, Eoghan O’Gara, Bernard Brogan, Adrian Darcy, Paddy Andrews, Darragh Stapleton.

Anyone any idea how were lining out tomorrow?..without the Rhode lads we are seriously under strenght would like to see joe quinn start at full back however can see Cribben experimenting again thats no harm i suppose this time of year but i really hope Offaly find a stable no.3 ,6,8,9,11 and 14 ready for wexford in the championship.Brian Conner could certainly do with as many games as he can get would like to see him and smith at midfeild tomorrow he could be suspended after Longford tough.

Would gave beeing nice to have this game Sunday double header with the leinster final, would have suited both countys. Cant see many heading to Dublin tomorrow and Portlaoise Sunday ecspecially with £10 gate fee for a glorified challenge match.

By jaysus we are useless, these lads may give it up and Tom Cribban should go for a result like this.

Dublin 3-13 Offaly 0-07

Not the end of the world but I suspect we need to get used to plenty of results like this in the coming months as Cribbin rapidly steers Offaly football towards the rocks.

what do you mean get use to results like this under Cribbin, not being smart but we have had them since Cribbin took over and for the last five year's
we are still in division 3 and chances are we will be still in it or worse division 4 this year bye the looks of things, as i said here last week and was shot down
offaly don't have the footballers i know its the o'Bryne cup and some players were missing so were Dublin there's nothing new in the offaly panel same players
that have failed the last few years just that some are playing in different lines of the field. :(
