Pint Tonight anyone???
The fight is won or lost far away from the witnesses, behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road; long before I dance under those lights

I find the attitude of some on this forum to drinking bemusing to say the least.
A concoction of pints and shorts is no preparation for a match, training and indeed sport at any high level.

It's interesting that Rhode consistently expect and enforce lengthy drinking bans throughout the Senior Championship and players that are found out to be deviating from the party line are dropped unceremoniously!

Likewise I would ask anyone who sacrificed alcohol for 4 weeks or more to concur that there is a noticeable improvement in sporting performance when the drink has been avoided.

Séamus McEnaney once famously remarked that drinking 7 days before the league and 14 days before championship was a rule out.
That to me is the minimum at club level. Never mind a successful County team.
The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast.
