his brothers were on the team did ye beat Rynagh in both Finals?
Re: Some things never change!
Neither actually. Beat Killeigh/Raheen in the Intermediate Final and Carrig/Riverstown in the Junior. Three Murphys on both teams.athlumneyboy wrote:his brothers were on the team did ye beat Rynagh in both Finals?

I was at the match and some of his scores were brilliant with around 1-5 or 1-6 from play. Showed some brilliant bits of skill and shooting and looked fitter than he has in a few years.
Belmont werent relegated around that time as they were intermediate then.athlumneyboy wrote:Lone Shark you are right to a degree John wanted to increase his
chances with Offaly so he had to be seen to be playing Senior Hurling,
If Belmont werent relegated around that time John would have never
transferred to Rynaghs because he wouldnt have being let.

Highlights the need for some regional/merged teams in the senior championship. Gives quality players from lower clubs the chance to play against the top clubs in the county
Its the reason why junior club footballers get their chance on the Kerry county team
