its that time of year again when we try to unearth a bit of new talent in the county. the 07 under 21 team got to a minor semi final in leinster before kildare dethroned them 1-12 to 0-11. they defeated neighbours wastemeath after a replay. the team that played the first day in that championship was:
paul mcconway; gerry grehan, richie dalton, eoghan byrne; niall darby, james flattery, james keane; derek molloy, james rafferty; sean ryan, greg quinn, paul deehan;garreth hickey, ronan monaghan, thomas coughlan.
others to feature in that champ were kevin lynam, rory o connor, shane dooley,
with last years under 21 team dean bracken, kevin lynam james rafferty thomas coughlan sean ryan ken casey and rory o connor are all under age and with a healthy dose of minors coming up it could be a strong enough panel. also a midfield line of niall smith and james rafferty could give us a bit of hope for that sector in the future.
any thoughts?heard yesterday that phil o reilly is bein touted as under 21 manager. be better than cooney.
