They were beaten by Sligo last weekend. I’m not sure on remaining fixtures.
Good Luck

Is the Shield for the teams that dont make or that lose in, the semi-finals.

Sligo who beat Offaly won the Cup.

These are players who took part ( they were probably a few more)

Can anyone list their CLUBS ?

Anto Lambe;
David Carty,
Eoghan Hockey,
Mark Bolton;
Lee Pearson,
Adam Strong,
Steven Joyce;
Morgan Tynan,
Ryan Strong;
Jay Sheerin,
James Nolan,
Aaron Byrne;
Darragh Flynn,
Cormac Delaney,
Corey White.
Adam Kelly,
Michael Fox,
Dion Conroy.
Daniel Fox,
Jacob Beatty,
Colin Egan.

How ya now

The competition is probably the biggest competition in country for this age group at U16 level to my knowledge and includes counties generally around midlands but extends West to Sligo and Roscommon and South to Carlow and Wexford. It has been extended recently to 12 teams.

From what I can gather, there are now 3 trophies to play for after group stages - a Cup for 4 group winners, a plate for 4 group runners up and a shield for 4 teams that finish bottom of their respective groups. Offaly lost their 2 group games to Sligo (outright winners) and Meath before going on to beat Laois in a plate final.

That said, there would be very little between a lot of the counties with likes of Roscommon, Meath, Laois, Westmeath, Louth etc taking part among others and there might not be huge disparity between a cup / shield / plate team as it can depend on luck of the draw as to who you get in the group!
