2019 Bord na Mona O’Byrne Cup draws:

Group 1: Carlow, Westmeath, Offaly, Kildare

Group 2: Longford, Wicklow, Louth

Group 3: Laois, Meath, Wexford

Bye: Dublin into Semi Final

Nothing easy about that draw?

Correct. Challenging start for Offay's new manager and players.

Is it only Super 8 teams that can't start training?

In fairness the announcement on bog closures was a Board decision, don't blame the poster who had no input therein for that statement.

When can Offaly (H & F) start training ?

I see a lot of great people supporting "The Grand Canal Run".

Great initiative and display of support for current players by many of the "retired lads * lassies"

Not sure of hurling, but heard murmurs of football trials either last weekend or this, not 100% sure.

Surely those Carlow fixtures could be on in Carlow town on the same day? One in Cullen Park and one somewhere else in the town like Tinyrland or Carlow IT presuming that Cullen Park wouldnt be up to 2 matches on the one day. Give supporters a chance to see both teams without having to travel to Carlow twice.

That makes sense, football game on a Wednesday night, hurling Saturday afternoon. Not many fans will travel to Carlow midweek in December.
