PREDICTIONS - OFFALY V KILDARE

Post by Mighty Pair O' Hands »

Tough one to call - will Offaly improve enough from the last day ? Is John Doyle fully recovered ? Can Offaly take the goal chances that come their way ?

I'm going for an Offaly win but close and not much scoring.......

Offaly 1-11 Kildare 0-12

What say ye ??

Hard to tell - my gut feeling is confident, but I'd be worried about us conceding a lot of possession at midfield. Still, I'll go for

Offaly 2-9 Kildare 0-13

Offaly 1-14 - 1-12 Kildare

Confident enough going into this one.. Delighted to see Trevor phelan getting a run out on the big croker pitch. He'll run all day long!
Bring on Meath or Wexford (very hard to call by the way) in the semi-final!

i think kildare will bate us.

Any of our shortcomings will come home to roost - the good ball into our forwards will be curtailed, they'll be happy to give away frees by the sideline and in the corners and far out and we'll miss them. And they'll win most of the ball.

Kildare 0-13 - Offaly 0-9.

Sorry lads, hope this doesn't happen

Offaly 1-15 Kildare 0-10

Roughly the same result as the League Division 2 Semi-final and the Championship Back Door match in 2004. I think that they have improved since then but so have the Faithful.

OFFALY 2 - 11 KILDARE 0 - 12

Not much talk around Kildare at the moment but they do strongly fancy themselves as always, they thougt that the Faithful were useless the last day. I feel that Offaly will need at least 2 goals to win this one and some better shooting and also taking the wiser options.

OFFALY 1 - 11 KILDARE 2 - 7

Will be tight I think the lads will be very nervous, Niall, Deehan need to get a couple of early scores build up the confidence. Hopefull Jim Coughlan get a run at some stage.

Think we may need goals to win this one. Offaly 2-8, Kildare 0-13.
