Think it finished around 2-20 to 0-17 to Waterford, don't know much else
Got it from the Waterford thread on Boards.

Was talking to a fella who happened to be at the game. The score was more like 2-28 to 1-25 or there abouts. 0-12 apiece at half time and Oisin Kelly got the Offaly goal. From what I was told it was a near full strength waterford team. Offaly relatively strong while also missing players.

3. Paddy Rigney
4. Ben Connelly
5. David O’Toole

10. Colm Gath
11. Sean Ryan
12. Colin Egan
13. Shane Dooley
14. James Gorman
15. Oisin Kelly

I see the Wexford match will be preceded by the Senior football match between Westmeath and the winners of Leix and Wexford. (Tickets for the double header are on sale.)

Offaly are playing Cork tonight down in Pairc Ui Rinn. I heard they took a beating from Clare last week too.

Madness travelling to Cork on a Wednesday night for a game. Needless to say they would be too arrogant to hurl Offaly at a neutral venue to shorten travelling time.

Results of challenge matches is not important. What is important is that they get exposure to other teams who operate at the highest level, and that the team play matches together to get used to each other. To that end, it is important that Offaly have had matches against Klare, Waterford and Kork in the build up to Galway, Kilkenny, Wexford and Dublin.

Further, the match against Waterford will be beneficial for the Wexford game, given the formation they will probably line out in. And also, it is a help that those three were wiling to play Offaly - that may not always be the case. If there is a concern, it is that those three challenge games seem to have been played in the space of about nine days.

Very quiet on here lads lately regarding championship.

This time next week what are we hoping for? Personally for me, a good solid performance and hopefully holding discipline as we have a habit of getting reduced to 14 men.

Listening to RTE Sport this afternoon, Offaly barely got a mention until Henry Sheflin reminded the panel that Offaly were also in the championship. Why not go out and try to beat Galway next weekend, hoping for a good performance is saying Offaly will lose, but we will put in a good show is conceding that we will lose. Galway will be favourites, they are All Ireland champions, but we have to believe Offaly can win. If Offaly are to be contenders they have to go out with the intention of winning all games.

Going back to the beginning, John Mullane said Offaly and Dublin will turn over one of the big 3 in the round robin, it can start next Sunday.

Have to agree we need to go out to all games with a winning mentality! This isn’t like other years, there is to much on the line here to settle for a solid performance!! Attack Galway from the get go and put it up to them, they won’t even see us as a challenge so we need to shock and awe from the start.
