Clonmore are in Ballinabrackey parish, Co. Meath. They play underage with the neighbouring parish of Rhode.

As I suspected, but thanks for confirming, SD. That's the great thing about sites such as this.

The Offaly u20s begin their championship campaign tomorrow evening at 7 against Carlow in Dr Cullen Park.
I’ve been hearing good things about this bunch.
Hopefully they can go far. There seems to be a fair spread of lads from all over the county.

This funeral is Saturday - https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/h ... 94872.html

Understandably given his age, a lot of this Louth team would have played with him and would want to be at the funeral.

Offaly won well and full value for it. Finished closer than it actually was with Offaly bossing midfield throughout. WH goalie going off injured was factor as replacements kick outs not nearly as good.

For Offaly, defence was excellent right through bar last few mins. Thought Jack O Brien and Jack Quinn looked strong and linked play well while full back line did fairly well. Thought Higgins in midfield was immense fielding and linking play very well too while Ibbotson good on kickouts too.

Also very impressed with Conor Dunne at centre forward. Created a lot and Westmeath struggled to contain him. Made the goal and created at least 2 more goal opportunities and kept Westmeath on back foot!

Inside Johnson was fairly quiet but was tightly marked but Shane O Brien was very busy and looked dangerous and Farrell got few scores too.

This team is well capable of getting to a Leinster final which would be 2 years in row if you include last years U21 final which featured only a few of this years u20 panel as far as I know! Lot of young players involved this year who will have another year or two at this grade!

Meath up next. By all accounts they are very good and will be hot favourites. From what i saw today, Offaly have nothing to fear, should back themselves and go for it!
