Durrow - Shane Hand
Brosna Gaels - Nicholas Claffey

I have not heard any other management confirmations yet, feel free to let me know
Also, any word on what the cup will be named for this tournaments inaugural year?

Christ almighty, it’s Ballinamere, not Durrow!

James Young from Laois is in the frame for the Clodiagh Gaels job from what I hear

I chose Ballinamere not Durrow. Can you please amend.

We are delighted to welcome back Paddy Kirwan as our hurling manager for 2018. We wish him and his backroom team the best of luck in the new year.

Lusmagh would have to be favourites for Senior B in my opinion with Ballinamere likely to be their closest challengers. Tullamore might also have a say if they get their house in order.

It's hard to see anyone other than Ballinamere winning this. While they were Intermediate last year, they really shouldn't have been relegated from Senior the year before. And they were Senior quarter-finalists much more recently than any other 2018 Senior B club. Ballinamere have a good foundation anyway, with physical strength in abundance, and the 2017 Minors will be in a position to have an influence as the year goes on. I really like their half-back line (Spollen, McDermott), David Magner still has a contribution to make at this level, and then there's Paddy Murphy.

Other Senior B clubs will relish the opportunity to hurl at this level, with a chance of winning a competition. I'm thinking Tullamore, and Shamrocks too. And Tullamore, being the town team, could well find a psychological edge on Ballinamere, were the pair to meet in a semi-final or the final. Tullamore will have a consistent and confident freetaker, always a bonus in the last minute of a tight game. Drumcullen, too, cannot be discounted.

I think Carrig & Riverstown are the dark horse. No mention of them so far.
They’d 6 of the 15 on the St Brendan’s u21 winning team. They’d 9 on the panel, and I recall that one of their lads was introduced as a sub and impressed.

Along with its football equivalent, the senior B hurling championship is probably the hardest one to call.

We should be more the wiser come April.

Carrig a mile away from winning senior B would say they are one of the weaker teams

I did say dark horse.
I’ll be the first to admit that C&R are the team in senior B that I’d have the least knowledge of.
I haven’t been at a C&R match in a year or two, but they surely have a couple of good hurlers on top of their u21 contingent.

As I said, dark horse, I’d still fancy Lusmagh, Tullamore, or Ballinamere ahead of them.

6 of the 8 teams go through... 4 to QF and 2 to SF..

I see Carraig, Drumcullen, Brosna Gaels and Clodiagh Gaels as the weaker of the 8 teams.. all cound beat each other and wont fear the other 4

With the players Ballinamere have as mentioned by POTH and Shamrocks (Molloy, O'Tools, Dunne, Cathal O Brien) also Tullamore will be somewhat stronger but I think with the dual issue 14 championship games with the possibility of 10 weekends in a row will be a factor.. Especially for Ballinamere with the step up to Senior football ( i know its durrow in the football).. Recovery and maintenance will be most important over this time period..

I fancy Lusmagh and Ballinamere as 1 and 2.. straight into the semi's..
Shamrocks, Tullamore, Brosna Gaels and Drumcullen...to the QF's
Carraig and Clodiagh Gaels fighting for relegation.
