Whatever about later games on a Friday or Saturday evening.. Offaly county board expecting players to wait til Sunday evening to hurl championship and not be home til after 10 o clock before they get finished up and home.

And then we wonder and question why lads aren't playing. This is the perfect example.

I'm not saying there's right and wrong here, but in Roscommon there are games at 6pm and lads are up in arms giving out because if they were on at 7.30pm, people could watch the World Cup final or even the Kerry vs Galway game and then come out. Personally I'm not a believer in paying too much heed to what's going on in other sports, least of all a feckin soccer match that could well be between Croatia and Belgium, but there are different sides to this. It's certainly not black and white anyway.

There was no issue with the overlap when fixing Offaly and Wexford with Champions League so why change that mentality now.

Looking forward to the 2 games in Birr. Hopefully the good weather holds up.

3. Is Shinrone's half-back line (Dan Doughan, Michael Cleary and Mark Morkan) ready to dominate a game, as they should on paper?
4. Can KInnitty's forwards get a scoreboard moving (Colm Coughlan has scored 22 of their 39 scores to date, and have yet to score a goal)?
5. Can Belmont afford to have both Oisín Kelly and Colin Egan isolated in the full-forward line with no ball going in there?

And of 16 Senior A games fixed (up to and including this weekend's round 4), Birr have hosted 9, Banagher 3, Shinrone 3 and Kilcormac 1. What does a rural club have to do to host a Senior A match? Or is there a policy that only Birr and Banagher get to host Senior A matches?

Was told two stories, one of which is true. He was cut from the Offaly panel before the Walsh Cup.
He was never called in.
Either way, it’s ridiculous. He should be on the panel at the very least.

Could the venues have anything to do with vantage points for Offaly GAA TV?
Only a possible reason.
Lusmagh should get Rynagh’s-Belmont by right.

Clareen beat Kinnitty by a point 2-11 to 0-16 in what can only be described as a terrible game of hurling.

Relegation final between the two of them is on the cards.

Rynagh’s had a nice victory over KK.
Birr beat Belmont.
Seir Kieran overcame Kinnitty
Shinrone and Coolderry ended up as a draw.

Rynaghs the most impressive team on show this weekend although KK were short a number of regulars

Rynaghs won while not really pushing themselves. Shinrone couldn't put Coolderry away, exciting finish but poor quality game. F/Belmont in trouble now after loss to Birr and having to play football nxt wkend not easy. Clareen lucky to scrape over Kinnity, could still be relegation final if KK or F/Belmont don't slip back there.

That is actually an absolutley disgraceful tackle. And as a previous poster stated he’d have previous for that sort of stuff. He should get 3 months for that. And then he had the audacity to pretend he was hurt after Kiely gave him a tiny dig. Says a lot about him. I dont know how Kiely didnt take his head off after it.
