Cheers sir!

It's very much an open book in terms of content, so don't be shy - all suggestions and comments are very welcome, have to say I'm looking forward to getting stuck into it....

Here here. A great idea LS and the very best of luck with it!

I remember a few years back Midlands 103 did live shows from GAA clubs/communities and discussed the history of the club, the glory days etc. I know this is something I would have a huge interest in listening to. Especially if you are running out of Offaly gaa content during the winter months!

Well done on the new podcast! I gave it a listen on the flight back home from Edinburgh last night and its clear that everyone you spoke to is at ease and have no problem giving their thoughts in an open and frank way. I've been following the mayo gaa podcast throughout the summer and often wondered what the offaly equivalent might be like and needless to say you've absolutely nailed it. If I had one minor quibble it would be that the audio probably wasn't 100% for certain parts of the Sean Ryan chat but I'm splitting hairs at this stage. Please keep up the good work and look forward to hearing what direction you take it.

This is a good idea, maybe include a piece on one or two clubs a week, and perhaps predict how they'll fare. E.g. Ballycommon and Shinrone, and work along every week, until say the commencement of the leagues or championship.
A review of our performances this year, room for improvement, additions to either panel. Club senior a football team of the year, senior b, intermediate, junior a
Similar in Hurling.

Loads of potential with it.

Once again, best of luck LS

By the way POTH could be your stats man.

Listened earlier and found this very entertaining and long over due. Fair play LS and no better man to do it.
Thinking out loud I imagine some items that could be done:

-Interview with Stephen Wallace
-Interview with new hurling manager
-Interview with Johnny Pilkington (we need a few of the 90's hurling stories to warm us up over the winter)
-Interview with various current players. Intercounty players are rather sheltered these days. When we were winning the lads were all over the TV and papers doing interviews but now most youngsters wouldn't know them if they met them in the street......be interesting to get their thoughts on things like Super 8's or new hurling championship.
-Discussion about upcoming county convention
-Explanation of the work the county board do. It's easy to blame them for everything but do people know what it actually entails?
-Updates on the implementation of hurling development plan.
-Camogie and Ladies football discussions.
-Update on the school GAA scene.
- Football in South Offaly.
- Hurling in the east of the county.

I'm rambling now but you get the picture! Again LS well done on this it'll be a success.

Everything he says and maybe a club profile with say for example Ryanaghs, you could have a former player, who may still be involved in coaching underage, etc or a current player.
Maybe interview with Declan Kelly and u20 Hurling manager

On a side note, I hope Bracknagh win.

Thanks for all the kind words folks, really appreciated. I have to say I'm enjoying it as a project, though anything anyone can do to keep the word out there is much appreciated, as I'll need listeners too! :D

There's a lot of good ideas on here, some of which I had considered already and others that I'll certainly be taking on board. At the moment we're in the midst of county final season and it's only right that I give those the air time that they deserve, but as winter draws in, there will be plenty of opportunities to cover the more general topics.

This is something I'll definitely be looking into, though right now I'd prefer to give people time to get this plan implemented and to get some meaningful work done, rather than simply rehashing the problems that we're all aware of thus far.

I notice that we are Ulster, Cavan and Meath have a Facebook page.
1.1k likes, 4.6k likes and 117 likes respectively.
An idea to grow the listenership, with most clubs having Facebook pages, which I assume that they would be more than happy to share the podcast/We Are Offaly page.
Also twitter DMs to club accounts.

Unfortunately not, SoundCloud is free though, be it the website, or the app.
