Not sure where to put this.
Just on the point about trying to get more Offaly players involved with Fitzgibbon or Sigerson cup teams as seen on the leaked questionnaire given to prospective candidates for the management position of the footballers.

I count that Mayo have 33 players registered on Sigerson panels. I know that it’s Mayo, but I’d imagine that the combined figure for Offaly would be struggling to make 10 between football and hurling.

After that I would imagine we are clutching

Ah Ref on Twitter has the DCU panel as well as a list of Mayo players on panels.
I’d imagine that each institution has a GAA social media account that their respective panels may be listed there.

From looking back on teamsheets via social media, Bernard Allen is the last player that I’ve seen start that’s from Offaly. In 2014 for DIT, which is now becoming TUD I think.

Conor McNamee on UL panel in 16 and 17, while Eoin Carroll was on UL panel in 16.

I’ve seen no teamsheet from Athlone IT, where there may have been an Offaly starter and most likely panelists.
None from the Garda College either. I know that college ball is not the be all and end all, but still, we’ve an alarmingly low presence of players in comparison to Westmeath, Leix, Longford and Wicklow among others. Roscommon also.

Mark Abbott is on the UL panel.
Only Offaly player playing from
UCD
DCU
NUIG
UUJ
UL
UCC
Queens
Garda College
DIT
IT Sligo
Maynooth University (NUIM)

As I’ve said before, a frighteningly low figure in comparison to Roscommon, Leitrim, Leix, etc.

I know that college isn’t for everyone, but I’m sure that there’s lads from our u20s last year that should be playing Sigerson.
The county board, I feel, should try to encourage young lads to seek scholarships.
That’s one of the main reasons why there’s always a couple of Rossies playing for DCU, along with the fact that they’re good at kicking ball. Just a thought, one that doesn’t come with financial expense.

I also heard that Roscommon offer a Dermot Earley scholarship for young lads who don’t get scholarships from the college.
Not sure of the finer details, but it would be no harm to look into.

The same could be said for the hurling. I’ve no Fitzgibbon panel lists readily available, but I presume that Cahill will be in goals for Mary I, possibly Oisín Kelly with LIT(he could be finished college)

The Offaly Hurling squad is relatively young and I am sure Cahill is with Mary I, Kelly with LIT, Conor Langton is with IT Carlow. Is Andy Flynn eligible for NUIG? Is Eoghan Callaghan in college? There are a few with question marks over them.

Apologies, Seán Doyle is a substitute for DIT tonight. I must have missed it before.

Was listed on the programme, but didn't start (or feature at all) according to the match reports in the paper.

Ah apologies. I did see his name on a match programme but presumed they lined out as selected

No apology needed. It was a reasonable presumption once upon a time, but these days I'm just delighted to go to a game where the players wear the right jerseys. IF the full forward line is numbers 2, 8 and 27, that's easy to work with!

Was listed as a replacement on the teamsheet last night, according to the42.ie.
Jack Walsh of Gracefield started at 15 for IT Carlow.
