fake team anyone?

We'll bamboozle the opposition when our county seniors actually start on the Under 21 side. they'll never see that one coming!

I assume Kiely isn't starting due to being suspended after the red card against Wexford last year?! And realistcly Langton and Mahon aren't good enough for the U21 team nevermind the senior panel!

The u21 this year we play the winners of Carlow/ Laois so are on a good side of the draw. kk play westmeath and the winners play Dublin/ Galway on the other side.

Looking at the extended panel both C Doughan and M Gilligan are injured otherwise they would both be on the starting 15 in my view . Conor Molloy and Graham Lynch only name on the extended panel seems strange , are the both injured too??

Liam Langton came on as a sub v Kerry last Sunday, and vLaois in the league. In both games he scored, a match winning goal v Laois, and a point last Sunday.. He is a player with potential, as acknowledged by Eamonn Kelly in today's Tullamore Tribune. If he was not good enough he would have been dropped. He did stick with the panel, not like some of his colleagues who walked away after the Westmeath game.
I can see Liam having a future with Offaly hurlers, and he has a brother Conor, on the minor team beaten by Wexford.

This will be a very interesting championship with the shock results tonight. Fair play to Westmeath beating Kilkenny and Carlow beating Laois (altho it will be a big setback to Laois.) Wexford can't be as strong this year after 3 in a row altho McDonald is still underage. Dublin are probably favourites to win it out but really it is a wide open. There is a real opportunity here for Offaly - really important to try to seize it - must leave no stone unturned to qualify for final-could be our most important hurling team this year.Is it 2007 since our last under 21 final appearance?defeated by Dublin in Parnell Park? Is McDonald manager again this year?

Well done to players and Management. A superb result in Newbridge and all to play for now against Carlow with a Leinster Final spot on the line. Some great performances all over the field. Hopefully the Mgt will get the players to focus now and make them realise that there is a great opportunity of making our first provincial final in a number of years.

A number of players injured and to return can only improve our hand.

Best of luck and looking forward to the semi final already.

Well done to all the squad and management.
Results for senior hurlers and footballers, minor footballers and now tonight the u21 hurlers.
One step at a time will get you there- but there is definitely a lift that goes from team to team when each start winning.
Opportunities for each team to move another step or two, and hopefully that will be the case.
Recovery and rehabilitation will be a slow process, but hopefully the results from the last couple of weeks are the start of that process...
