i see in the last few weeks they are putting up some big scores in the minor league i know its only again Meath, Wicklow, hurling kerry in Birr this weekend in the last game, was there anyone in at the game in O'Connor park at the weekend.

Dont think playing and hammering them teams would do anything for Offaly.......sure that is C hurling.......How come we are in a league below Carlow, westmeath, Laois etc........Any word on how they are getting on against actual hurling counties?

Offaly beat Wexford a month ago by 6-18 to 4-15 but Wexford were down 10 as a lot were playing schools hurling and Offaly were missing 5 or 6 also.

Disgraceful. Our young talented hurlers are not been given the opportunities they deserve.
Poor organisation and management in Offaly GAA has resulted in hammerings like this happening on a regular basis.

Woudnt be too down about the result, its only a league but the championship next week V Carlow matters hugely. Wexford have their underage well in order again and we need to do that with our hurling teams. This minor team have definitely improved over the year to date under the managements guidance. Being in a lesser league doesnt help but it just shows where we are rated in Leinster by being in there. Carlow is the big one next week and matters a lot.......... We need to be beating the likes of Carlow westmeath and Laois regularly to gain confidence going through to senior and we need to be competitive with Wexford and Dublin at all levels which we are a little short of at the moment......

Agree with this, while the result is disappointing, for any Offaly team to make a final right now is a positive thing to my mind and while beating the likes of Carlow and Kerry might not seem like such a big deal we have to start somewhere in order to raise the standard again and the signs are beginning to look good and with the U-15s winning a B Sheild last year it Offers proof that progress however small it is has been made, now its just a matter of building on that and taking it to the next level which again will take time.
