again the neighbours laois on sunday also the under 21's are also playing laois on saturday at 2 o'clock in portarlington gaa grounds in the Hasting cup. laois have picked a strong enough team for sunday its hard to see them get a win without the Rhode lads say what you like about him it will be hard to score much with Niall mac not on board. but its a chance for a few new young players to put their hand up for a run in the league.

Reasonable team out for Offaly tomorrow against Leix. Few new names which is no harm and a few recalled players out of the shadows

Well done to Offaly on a great win today. Cant read a lot into it at this time of the year but great to see a win, a few recalled and new names feature well and its a positive start for the lads and the new management.
It will be a hectic week and it will be a good build up to the league. To hold Laois scoreless for most of the second half is fair going.
Having said that a couple of goal chances went a begging for Laois and Alan Mulhall again had a fine game.

I wont lie i was very surprised to see such a performance from Offaly today. The way they moved the ball was impressive and the distribution was good for the time of the year. Turning over ball was impressive and high fielding was good too. Bring on Dublin on Wednesday, nothing to be afraid of.

Nice to start the year off with a win. Helps to build up a positive atmosphere all round. A decent performance away to Dublin would do nicely on Wednesday. :)
