Brian Gavin has been confirmed as the referee for the All-Ireland SHC final replay between Kilkenny and Tipperary.

It will be the Offaly official's third senior assignment, having previously taken charge of the 2013 drawn final between Clare and Cork and the 2011 decider, also between Kilkenny and Tipperary.

Was watching the first game again last night and must say that I thought Barry Kelly was absolutely excellent (as I did from my seat in the stand in real time) and what a game as well. If Tipperary take their goal chances the next day they could win by 9 or (ironically) 10!
