Post by SearingDrive »

Does anyone know how did Offaly do versus Cavan game in the above competition yesterday?. I only saw that Meath beat Westmeath in the second game fixed for yesterday.

Cavan could not field so Offaly received a bye to the final.

Thanks for clearing that up SID. There was no result in the press, local or national.

Must be Devery from Erin Rovers.
Good to see Maloney doing damage from full forward. He was a key reason for Tullamores success this year and would be a handful for the best of them even at county level in there. He is good at winning ball and Nialler could feed off him. Has Niall ever had a good full forward in there with him in the last 10 years? Good to get the win and a nice spread of scorers, winning is a good habit.

GAA are loking at the future of this competition as a result of Offaly's recent dominance!

Well done to the lads, nice to see few new names in there and getting a win over Meath is no bad thing at any time of the year.
Interesting to see that Graham Reilly kicked 5 pts after coming in as a sub. We will continue to have difficulty against direct pacy forwards, hopefully a few of the young lads can step up to the mark in that regard.

The team yesterday has a few fellas who I'd like to see get a decent run this year in the O'Byrne Cup and the league.
