Championship Odds

Post by fatlad »

Anyone got the odds for the 8 teams left in the intermediate football championship or where can these odds be had , if anywhere. Having seen several of the games it seems wide open.

I think you're betting to 182% over-round, which is gouger territory! :P

Seriously, I'd say Durrow have to be strong favourites with Shamrocks not far off. Capincur and Ballyfore have chances, Capincur in particular because of a very handy QF draw, but you could at least double the odds of everyone outside of that. K/K are going to really struggle to put any effort in from now on. My guess:

Durrow 7/4
Shamrocks 11/4
Capincur 7/2
Ballyfore 6/1
Kilcormac/Killoughey 7/1
Shannonbridge 9/1
Doon 16/1
Bracknagh 25/1

I can see this post been pinned to the door with a rusty nail of the bracknagh, doon and shannonbridge dressing rooms!

I can only hope they print it out, and that no manager destroys a good tablet or laptop by driving a nail through the top of the screen!

If memory serves me correctly , did Bracknagh not knock Cappincur out of last year's championship , at the same stage??

That was a close one! With memories of last year in the corresponding fixture, the Cappincur players came out the right side of the result with a 2.14 to 2.10 victory over Bracknagh after extra time. Last year Bracknagh came out on top by a single point after extra time.

Durrow and Cappincur cannot meet in the semi final now. Shamrocks and K/K being the other two teams. Very hard to choose between any of the four teams! Durrow slight favourites in my eyes still.

Durrow and Cappincur both seeded since they topped their groups.

S/F Draw

How are K/K in the semi of the IFC, is football that bad in the county that a team that doesn't even bother train, turns up for the games and could be senior next year??

The vast majority of the KK football team have intercounty levels of fitness and strength. That'll bring you a long way.

Ha Ha. I take it you have absolutely no interest in football at all.
