Scheduling madness

Post by Lone Shark »

What are the odds there will be crowd congestion before tonight's game with people arriving @ 7.40?

And yet, today we had two wonderful opportunities to put on games before the main match as appetisers - both games that kids would have loved to have played in front of big partisan crowds. Dublin Colleges are playing Birr in the colleges hurling today, as are Dublin playing Offaly in the Leinster Minor league. Either of these games could have been played under lights, throwing in at 6 - any reason why not?

(I accept hurling under lights is not always ideal - it's been done though, and if it could be done anywhere it would be at Parnell)
