Offaly minor hurlers

Post by Hurlinfan »

What are our minor hurlers like this year. Heard they are playing Wexford in the championship in 3 weeks . What will the team be and how have practice matches gone to date?

Yes would be interesting to hear the panel and also the u21 panel if anybody on here knows. Two teams that were very poor last year.

Are you sure about the time?

Upcoming Fixtures

LEINSTER G.A.A. MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2012
Saturday, 21st April 2012.
Mullingar (2.30pm) - Wesmeath v Laois
Tullamore (2.00pm) - Wexford v Offaly
Newbridge (7.00pm) - Carlow v Kildare
Arklow (6.00pm) - Wicklow v Meath

Taken from leinster GAA website.

As there is a round of u21 championship at 12 on Sunday it as already harsh enough on these players having to play twice inside 22 hours, but moving the game to 7 borders on the ridiculous.

With regard to the game I think it is one that we could win, however I would hope that we don't get out muscled by Wexford. Traditionally at this level, Wexford would win the Aeriel battle against us, giving them a greater share of possession. I know it is something that the management have been working on all year, so hopefully it pays off on Saturday.

He is - he's named on the bench but he's had a lot of injuries all year.
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Up by two points at half time after having a strong wind at their backs.
A slow start was followed with a good ten minute spell with two goals for offaly but a soft goal for Wexford will send them in happy at the break

Offaly tried hard today !! They seem to have a very young team? Theres a few lads that i was suprised werent even
On the panel, can any1 put any light on it as to why they arent? Birrs peter dooley, cathal hogan and paddy mullins??? Belmonts darragh corbett brian grehan and ciaran cahill? I seen these lads play down through the years and they werent too bad at all, Surely deserve to be on the panel at least?
