Offaly managers outside the county

Postby Ahlethimoutwithit » Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:49 pm

How many Offaly men were coaching club hurling teams outside of the county this year? I suppose when you look at the whole situation when appointing a hurling manager for the Senior team, given our record over the last 30 years we should have our own batch of hurling managers coming through?
Who are the lads making waves, and potential options?
I suppose the thing that concerns me is that we are at a really crucial stage now , and we opt for inexperience, and we are just after coming off the back of an inexperienced manager albeit with a good knowledge of club hurling in the county.

I think its strange that we end up with a man with limited managerial experience, and I wish him the best of luck, (but if you look at his selectors that doesnt fill you with confidence!) despite the drawn out process. Other managerial packages were seemingly turned down on the strength of their backroom teams and Ollie gets the job without his being in place?
