This was posted by Curious George on Hogan stand not my post - i wouldnt agree with what he says about the match being held in Tullamore

Was at the game last night in Birr, good win for Offaly. Still, came away unconvinced by a number of players. Offaly started well & were finding scores easy to come by, I think the score was 1-11 to 1-05 at half time.Colin Egan scored 3 nice points and was the only effective member of a fierce disappointing half forward line. Colm Coughlan put over a few frees and Diarmuid Horan got 2 long range frees.
At half time the game looked over as Wexford had a man sent off a few minutes before half time.
The second half was as bad as i’ve seen in a long time, well, 2 weeks anyway!
An opportunist goal from Kerrigan sealed the game after Wexford had looked like they would make a fight of it, with 2 early points. The backs hurled well and kept Wexford at bay, and Offaly showed plenty of ineptitude all over the forward line, however the introduction of Daniel Currams settled tings and he scored 3 nice points, although often unmarked.
Again all I have said about Mahon rang true last night, no influence on the game at all. My view is they would be afraid of loosing him to the football. Sorry to see, as he gives 100%, but not good enough. Derek Molloy scored a few goals in the league, last year! I have seen him play 4 games this year.... Got 1 point last night and had no other contribution to the game.
On a positive note, The backs solid,Horan did well in the middle, Colin Egan first half, Joe Bergin, and Daniel Currams, all showed well.
I believe this is a home game,(the Leinster Final) and will be a controversial view, but it should be held in Tullamore.
I am sure there will be a substantially bigger crowd than was there last night. I was on the hill and the view was poor with a small crowd. If I was to go to the final, would not be interested in watching from anywhere other than the stand, and it only holds 2500/3000? Would need to be ticket only. However the pitch looked fantastic, and was a credit. But lets get behind this team and get a huge North Offaly crowd into Tullamore.
No toilets on the hill side of the ground and no programmes left at the start of the game, with a crowd of no more than 2500?

But, well done on reaching a Leinster Final lads! And the very best of Luck
