Pascal Kellaghan back on the panel?

Post by Bord na Mona man »

Someone said it on the hoganstand.com message board.
Obviously enough, I'd be wary of anything posted up on that site.
Loonies who believe their own Intermediate team should have 5 players on Offaly's starting XV seem to be in the majority over there.

I was chatting to one of the player and he told me that Pascal was due back back when his wife had their child and that I think may have happened in the past week or so...

If he's back and willing to bide his time, train hard and take his chance whenever it comes then he's certainly a good man to have on board. Hopefully that's the case.

I have to say that nothing I saw in the Ferbane/Rhode match indicated to me that he was likely to pull up any trees on his return - on the other hand he did well at centre forward last year, and the slot is still wide open.

I'd say the forward line for Sunday is set in stone. It'll put a little bit of pressure on Mark Daly though. He'll know there's an obvious alternative waiting in the wings.

I wonder how Paschal will take this team? He'll know he's a bit far down the pecking order now.....

Short odds he hops off in a huff again when he doesn't get a run on Sunday.

In fariness Pascal has been training with Offaly so he shouldn't expect a run on Sunday. If he's the first or second sub on then I'd expect a good few pissed of lads on the bench . Lets hope Daly is the first one on, on Sunday.I think thats the least he deserves.
