A 2012 Leinster SHC medal was for auction on Ebay for the last week. It sold for €570 this morning. The medal is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, marked ‘Craobh Laighin’ on the front and ‘iomaint sinsir 2012 Gaillimh’ on the back.

Now maybe the fella has fallen on hard times (as many throughout the country have) but it is evidence too that Galway don’t value Leinster medals to retain them as a memento. Would a Kilkenny hurler trade a Leinster medal? Or any of the Offaly team of the 1980s? Or any of the Dublin footballers?
What’s a Leinster medal worth?

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Re: What’s a Leinster medal worth?
could it be for charity? It was hard enough looking at Galway take a Leinster crown back to the west , a Leinster medal would be like an All Ireland to Offaly teams today.Galway only wanted a semi final spot last year and didnt give a fiddlers about Leinster silverware , i dont remember them celebrating it in Galway to much. Bit disrespectful i think unless for good cause
