Congrats to St Mary's Edenderry
Congrats go out to the under-16 boys of St Mary's Edenderry who won the Junior A All-Ireland Final over the Easter break beating Patrician High School, Carrickmacross in the final. A special achievement for all involved as this is only the 3rd year that there was an All Ireland Series at this level,...

Re: Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1B 2016
Damien Lawlor on RTE Radio this morning saying that the Kerry players outworked the Offaly guys yesterday in Birr.
He also says that some of their players ran 12 - 13 kms in yesterdays match which is phenomenal.
The 'outworking' comment is something that has to stick in the craw.

Re: 2016 National League Div 3
As posted above, and from a clubman point of view, really delighted to see Sean Pender back in with Offaly. The right age profile and in my opinion a genuine Inter county player. Surprised to see his name omitted in some previews of the forthcoming season as Sean will bring real leadership and quali...

Re: Walsh Cup 2016
I have to say watching this Birr / Connor park debate for the last while has been amusing to me if at times quite tiresome. A pitch has two sets of posts. same all over the country. Great attendance, good result. Enjoy it - any day you beat the Cats is a good one. Learn a few lessons out of it, trai...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2016
Poor skill execution frustrates Lilies boss Kildare 0-13 Offaly 0-11 Martin Breheny To that extent, the O'Byrne Cup hasn't been a success for Kildare or Offaly, neither of whom reached the semi-final from a group which was topped by Louth, who are in Division 4 this year. Ironically, Louth lost to ...

Re: 2016 Offaly Players of the Year
Sean Doyle, in my humble opinion, is indeed a potential county player.
He scored 4-36 in championship matches in Edenderry's march to the title this year, and his Player of the Year award is well deserved.
Hopefully he will get his chance this year and take it with both hands.

Re: Seamus Darby
A searingly honest interview if not a little hamstrung by the interviewers slight lack of GAA knowledge. Nobody with any rhyme or reason could call the first half of that All Ireland Final a torrid affair. Besides that, it delivers a deep insight into the personal life of a man who will be forever r...

Re: Offaly vs Longford, Leinster SFC, Saturday 16/05/2015
I thought this was quite a caustic comment and unnecessary.
Certainly three or four of the Offaly players in action were amonst the worst this writer has seen lining out at intercounty level.

Re: 2015 Club Hurling and Football draws.
2008 is right.
i nearly had to be defibbed after that game
Edenderry were in three successive relegation play off's after winning the intermediate in 2007. Which made the 2011 success very sweet.
