Re: Offaly 2-10, Galway 1-17
Its a tough call what to do with Kenny alright. At Full back it makes it difficult for the opposition to play in a high ball and if you get the centre back to sit deep it keeps things tight. I would love to play as a keeper behind him. On the other hand if you hurl him at centre back it makes the op...

Re: GAA Season Ticket
Its a pity that St. Brendans park isn't able to host the hurling fixtures. They might sell a few then even if it is division 2

Re: 2009 Leinster Fixtures
I think our lads are playing their league match away to wexford. It will be interesting to see if they move that one out of wexford park. Its a fine ground though and there could be a great atmosphere there as the relatively small capacity might mean a full house. Thats what Leinster hurling needs a...

Re: The season begins
Remove all univerity/College teams from Intercounty competition. The absurd notion of univerity teams in club championships should be ended as well. All nonsence. Let them have their beering session at the end of February but leave the county competitions to county teams and club competitions to cl...

Re: The season begins
Whats going on here. We have Offaly playing the first competitve game of the year and fellas are going to play in a mickey mouse university match instead. This is a joke. We already have the footballers with nothing to show after 2 games. The hurlers need to be trying win every game possible to bui...

Re: Carroll Meats
[quote="Plain of the Herbs"] I’m nearly sure Galway hurlers have been sponsored by Supermac’s since the start. Their minor hurlers were sponsored by Buck Rogers in the early years though. i was at the AI hurling final in 1993 and Galway played in the minor aswell as in the senior v kilkenn...

Re: GPA and Cork Hurlers
When i put this one up i wasn't too concerned about hearing peoples views on the striking players in cork. What intrigues me however is how will the GPA handle it if the situation is not resolved. When the GPA was first mooted I thought it was a good idea and it did have an immeidiate effect as Sean...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers Review 2008 – Part 1
Like the last poster i to have decided to register to give my tupence worth. 2008 was most definetly a year of improvement, however it will count for nothing unless built upon. The hurlers have two targets to meet. 1 - win division two and return to topflight hurling on merit, and, 2- defeat wexford...

Re: Climate Change - How much are you contributing to it?
It mightn't do any harm for the AI hurling if kilkenny was submerged aswell
