Re: Offaly starting team to face Kilkenny
I think it's a great story. I'd like to add that Baker probably had to be restrained by the other selectors as he flew into a rage. Then a five minute tussle ensued between seven grown men which culminated in a whiskey bottle being smashed over Baker's head.

Re: Interesting
Plenty in Westmeath as well. I don't know if Brendan Clarke is back in charge of Caulry or not, but Garry Daly, Ken Kelleghan, Tom Coffey and I think a few others are all managing clubs at either senior or intermediate level in Westmeath. The flip side of that is that we've plenty of outside manage...

I wouldn't regard Phil's stint in The Downs as being a success. Having said that he might be a better fit for Ferbane if working with the right trainer.

Re: 1981 All Ireland Final - Kerry v Offaly
Is it true or just general pub talk that 81 All Ireland referee Paddy Collins went down to Kerry to train the Kerry panel after the modified handpass rule came in? If it's not true then it was a brilliant lie.

Re: Offaly vs Cork - SHC Qualifier Rnd 2 07/07/2012
Would people ever stop using the words 'home' and 'advantage in the one sentence. Feckitt, Darren Frehill used the phrase over-and-over on the radio this morning. Home advantage does not apply to Offaly. Because you lose that advantage when you endlessly puck the ball away to the opposition for the...

Third (or fourth) favourites for the all Ireland!
Let's just give them the walkover now!!

Re: Offaly versus Kildare 16th June 2012
Kildare - lads eating loads of fruit and running around. That's what McGeeney was at when he was with Na Fianna. Running around Dublin with weights strapped to his arms and legs and spending 30 -40 punts on fruit a day. That's a grand a month old money!! Who says the same thing isn't going on in Kil...

Re: offaly v kildare, and seanie johnston
Kildare aren't that good!! All this hard luck boo hoo close call nonsense from last year. They lost against Donegal because they weren't good enough. Pulling John Doyle back to midfield to carry them and he couldn't. Same with Down the year before - no points for hitting the cross bar lads! McGeeney...

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford 2/6/12 Leinster Championship
Right when we got the second goal Wexford were in complete disarray and we really needed then to sew it into them. We hit a few bad balls and Wexford got some very dubious decisions including Mr Sexton introducing the advantage rule into hurling and bringing the ball in nearer for little reason. Wex...
