For the good of the parish
I'm too long removed from the home parish (Daingean) to comment on the current situation or "feelings at the ground", but I can remember when the powers-that-be at some of the 4 clubs couldn't have agreed to share a cup of tea. Despite this, the underage mentors DID manage to pull together...

Not again
If this is really as detailed above, then it really makes you wonder - will we ever learn? For heaven's sake, what is going on when debacles like this can arise over and over again? Who let this happen, either knowingly or through ignorance? Who let it come to this, on all sides? Who is being stubbo...

Feck
What a night. Painful ! Thanks to hurlers for restoring at least a smidgeon of pride. How could we lose to Carlow? No focus, poor fitness, poor refereeing, poor team-management, ....... there are a litany of valid reasons, most of which have been posted above and on other threads. The most telling m...

Feck sake
Fer feck sake lads, ye're giving me the "he-be-ge-be's". That Limerick performance was one of the worst I ever remember. I've said to myself that we cant play that bad again. After the Laois game, I think I was wrong. But there have been good performances too, most notably the firs...

Follow me up to .....
Agreed. I take it as a little consolation that the panel-leavers have not drawn big publicity, hoping that this means there is little or no dissent in the rest of the panel. Carlow will not be a push-over, especially at home. It's our "classic" trip-up scenario from the past, so I too woul...

Good stuff
I'd just read that article and thought it really showed a good analysis of the state of Hurling in general, and some good suggestions for the future. It's good if Johnny already thinks are looking up at underage level, although the only way to look is up.
Great story from Fennelly about Fan Larkin.

The Manager
I have no "inside knowledge" about the relationship between Kevin Kilmurray and the Football panel, but before biffo5 goes slating him as the worst ever experienced can I suggest that we didn't have a great queue of candidates looking for the job after last year's back-stabbing episodes . ...

Follow the ......
Thanks for that LS. In fairness to the Hurlers, they deserve a decent bit of support after last Sunday. That had to be hard to take, to be on the field and take a beating like that. If ever we want to feel justified in calling ourselves the Faithful County, now is the time. It's nicely set up for us...

Arrangements
At this stage of the week, is there any serious chance of either: (a) this becoming an All-Ticket fixture, and if so where/how would tickets be made available? (b) the Hurling game being moved to another venue? If the answer to both is No, then I still reckon that we'd need to aim to be in the groun...

Big kick
I saw highlights of this match on Chorus' own channel last night. Brady's kick was a whopper. He started from outside the 65m line and kicked it from no more than a step inside, not allowing for any angle. As he was looking at the posts, the commentator "assumed" along the lines: "......

This is the Moment
Nicley put there Ballymanabroad, but I disagree about the merits of Donnellan's success. I feel there was a touch of the "headless chicken" about the way he finished his storming run, but c'est la vie. It's funny but O'Hehirs commentary in '82 has almost passed me by. Reading it from your ...
